The amount of oil and gas shut in–1.29 million barrels of oil a day and 2.9 billion cubic feet a day of natural gas–has slightly decreased from Friday, but most oil and gas producers were still restaffing and evaluating damages to their facilities before restarting production.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (APC) said that its Neptune offshore platform would be restaffed on Saturday; its other Gulf offshore facilities–Independence Hub, Gunnison, Marco Polo and Constitution–have been safely restaffed, and onsite inspections showed only minor, superficial damage to grating and sheet metal, the company said.

“We expect all of these facilities to re-start production as quickly and safely as possible, and as third-party operated pipelines and infrastructure allow,” Anadarko said.
