Ten out of the fifteen Arizona Sheriff’s have joined forces and slammed the Obama administration on Friday, over the botched “Fast and Furious” gun smuggling operation.

Sheriff’s said they felt betrayed by the federal government, and an operation that allowed almost 2,000 high powered rifles to make their way into the hands of Mexican cartel members.

The Sheriff’s were calling for the President to launch an independent investigation, and for Attorney General Eric Holder to step down, or be fired.

“We’re here as sheriff’s to call for the truth,” said Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu.

Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever said this was about brotherhood.

“Who is responsible for arming the people we are fighting everyday on the border?” said Dever.
