Florida Sen. Marco Rubio would make the best vice president for any of the Republican candidates in the 2012 election, Karl Rove told Sean Hannity Monday.

Rove, former deputy chief of staff for President George W. Bush, said the freshman senator is a “bright talent who could play a powerful role as vice president of the United States.”

“The vice president is the most influential adviser to the president of the United States, and that could be particularly true for Marco Rubio,” said Rove, a guest on the conservative talk-show host’s radio program.

He said the campaign will see Herman Cain fall out of the top tier primarily because of the GOP candidate’s cancelation of an interview with the New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper.
