Senior White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer on Sunday sidestepped questions about whether President Obama would sign an immigration bill which included a “trigger” requiring border security improvements before other reforms.

Pfeiffer said only that the administration supported the Senate’s efforts to craft comprehensive immigration reform as “100 percent consistent with what the president is doing” in an interview on “Fox News Sunday.”

“We feel very good about it and they are looking at it the right way,” he added about bipartisan negotiations .
