Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) would start off with a slight edge over the GOP field if she decides to run for the Senate in Alaska, according to a new poll conducted for a group that’s trying to draft her for the 2014 race.

Palin pulled 32 percent of support in the survey, while Alaska Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell (R) would start off with 30 percent, and 2010 Senate nominee Joe Miller (R) would start off with 14 percent support.

The poll was conducted by the Republican firm Harper Polling for the Tea Party Leadership Fund, which has been pushing Palin to run for the seat.
