The Supreme Court did not say Monday whether it will review a major 2012 appeals court decision that upheld the Environmental Protection Agency’s first wave of greenhouse gas regulations and authority to craft future rules.

An array of industry groups, conservative activists and states have petitioned the Supreme Court to review the unanimous three-judge decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, which a broader panel of appeals judges later upheld.

The challenges are not mentioned in the Supreme Court list released Monday of cases it’s planning to hear or decline. Next week the high court will provide more information on decisions it’s planning to review or let stand.
