The website to enroll in health insurance through ObamaCare will go offline for 12 hours starting Saturday night for maintenance.
The Department of Health and Human Services will be making updates to the online application and enrollment tools.
The site will be down from 9 p.m. Saturday night until 9 a.m. Sunday. People will still be able to enroll by calling the toll-free phone number.
“The HealthCare.gov tech team is performing extended maintenance this weekend to improve network infrastructure and make enhancements to the online application and enrollment tools,” HHS spokesperson Joanne Peters said in a statement.
The particular type of maintenance has occurred twice before since the HealthCare.gov went online last month, the department said.
