Republicans voted to repeal or delay Obamacare nearly 40 times.

Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain slammed President Barack Obama’s defense of the disastrous HealthCare.gov rollout on Fox News Sunday, arguing the White House is peddling “empty excuses.”

Cain spoke with The Daily Caller’s editor-in-chief Tucker Carlson on Fox & Friends, telling Carlson that the president’s push to blame congressional Republicans for Obamacare’s failure just doesn’t cut it.

“That dog won’t hunt,” Cain declared, “and let me just give you two reasons: Number one: No Republicans voted for the Affordable — aka Unaffordable — Care Act. And secondly, when the so-called shutdown was going on, Republicans voted to repeal or delay Obamacare nearly 40 times. They were ostracized and criticized by Harry Reid and the Democrats. They tried to stop this trainwreck — the Republicans did — and more people are now aware of that fact.”
