Last week’s widespread winter storm may not only have impacted your milk pickups, but it was likely a major factor in the notable drop in ethanol production, according to Geoff Cooper, with the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA).

Based on U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) data for the week ending Jan. 10, daily ethanol production averaged 868,000 barrels per day (36.46 million gallons daily), down 51,000 barrels per day from the week before, as storms affected key transportation routes and complicated normal plant operations.
