People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is no stranger to controversy. Past tactics by the group include nearly nude billboards to protest fur, campaigns comparing farming practices to the Holocaust, and demanding that fish be referred to as “sea kittens.”
Now, PETA has once again stirred the pot, tweeting today about honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. and “the plight of animals who are tortured, abused & neglected.”
