A recap of Texas primaries:
– Jeb Bush’s son, George P. Bush, won the Republican nomination for “the little-known but powerful post of Texas land commissioner.” George’s mother, Columba, was born in Mexico, and George addressed voters in both English and Spanish. “You’ll see that we have Tea Party friends, that we have mainstream conservatives, we have strong Latino support, and a lot of younger voters,” he said.
John Cornyn beat out conservative Rep. Steve Stockman to win his senate primary (again) with nearly 62% of the vote.
