With more than 96 percent of the world’s population living outside the borders of the United States, it only makes sense that American businesses look to expand their customer base beyond the domestic market. However, expanding globally can be difficult – from navigating, understanding and complying with export requirements to establishing one’s brand and developing a customer base in the global marketplace.
One program, the U.S. Meat Export Federation’s Branded Products Promotion Program, is helping smaller U.S. companies (those with fewer than 500 employees) promote their red meat products internationally.
