House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says any move to change the 2008 law regarding unaccompanied children from Central America should be tied to the broader issue of immigration reform, not the supplemental budget request to deal with the emergency at the U.S. southern border.

“These are different laws that we are addressing. One is to address the needs – and we need a supplemental to do that because we have an emergency situation that needs to be addressed,” Pelosi told reporters at a press conference Friday.
