White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest reacted to the news of a second American journalist beheaded by ISIS.
Check it out:
Earnest said that he hadn’t seen the reports but that the administration had been watching the situation “very carefully.”
Just minutes before the White House press briefing, news broke that ISIS terrorists had released a beheading video of U.S. journalist Steven Joel Sotloff.
“Our thoughts and prayers first and foremost are with his family, and those who worked with him,” he said, adding the United States had dedicated “significant time and resources” to rescue him.
Earnest said that he couldn’t confirm the authenticity of the video but that intelligence officials would be investigating it.
