According to the latest Drought Monitor, 82 percent of California is currently in extreme or worse drought, marking the tenth consecutive week of unchanging conditions. Things may soon be changing, especially for the Golden State’s southern tier.
In the Climate Prediction Center’s Seasonal Drought Outlook, forecaster Anthony Artusa anticipated drought to improve or even be removed in portions of Southern California by the end of the year thanks to the return of El Niño.
