If there is one indisputable fact that emerged from the People’s Climate March in New York City on Sunday it is this: The weather was perfect. No wind, rain, snow, hail, drought or rising sea levels to be found.

Just a typical, beautiful September day in the city: 75 degrees and sunshine.

And protesters who decided to add a little tourism to their protest itinerary, Accuweather.com says the weather cooled by five degrees on Monday. On tap for Tuesday’s UN climate conference: “sunny and pleasant” with a high of 71 degrees.

The estimate for crowd size, however, was a whopping 400,000 – just imagine the carbon footprint made to get all those protesters to the city?
