We all know how these large bills go as far as “everyone” reading them…..
Check it out:
The House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday evening unveiled a 1,603-page comprehensive spending package to fund most of the government through next September.
Dubbed the “cromnibus,” the package encompasses 11 appropriations bills that cover most of the government for the rest of fiscal 2015 and one continuing resolution (CR) that funds the Department of Homeland Security through February.
Appropriators released the $1.1 trillion spending deal a day late after House and Senate leaders raced to tie up loose ends on controversial policy riders.
The delay will push the lame-duck schedule back a bit — both chambers are now expected to vote on a measure to fund the government for two or three days to buy time for the Senate to consider the larger package and to keep the government open past the Thursday deadline.
