Gov. Rick Scott (R-Fl.) explained why he hasn’t expanded Medicaid in Florida under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) saying of the government, “trillion dollar deficits – would you do business with them?” at Politico’s Fifth Annual State Solutions Conference in Washington, D.C., on Friday.

The moderator asked Scott about a common criticism of Medicaid expansion, saying, “the most substantive conservative criticism of Medicaid expansion is that the federal government is just not going to be good for the money, even if they’re good the first three years, four years…”
