GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul will campaign with students and doctors before Michigan’s primary next Tuesday at two more events campaign officials announced Tuesday.
Paul, one of four candidates seeking the GOP nomination, will stump at Central Michigan University 6 p.m. Saturday at Plachta Auditorium. It’s the second university campus he will appear at while in Michigan. Officials announced earlier this week Paul will campaign at MSU Auditorium 4 p.m. Monday in a nod to the youth vote he has been capturing in other primaries.
The CMU event follows a Tea Party Senate straw poll in Mount Pleasant earlier in the day. Paul’s event will feature “Soldiers, Airmen and Sailors for Ron Paul,” campaign officials said. Before Paul was a Congressman representing Texas, he trained as a doctor and served as a flight surgeon who served in the U.S. Air Force during the 1960s.
