Ensuring safe, healthful hamburgers for schoolchildren is on the agenda for the National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods.

A meeting of the full committee via audio conference call will be open to the public from 2-5 p.m. EST on March 28, according to a news release.

The committee will discuss food safety questions from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service to support ground beef purchase for the Federal Food and Nutrition Assistance Programs.
